On October 6, 2021, Andrew J. Bruck, Acting Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, wrote a letter to: the Director for the Division of Criminal Justice, the Executive Director for the Office of Public Integrity & Accountability; Insurance Fraud Prosecutor; and All County Prosecutors regarding factors to consider as guidance behind whether to criminally charge individuals under N.J.S.A. 2C:34-5(b) in light of advancements in treatment for HIV/AIDS.
